Michael C. Hyter is President and CEO of The Executive Leadership Council (ELC), the preeminent membership organization for Black CEOs, board directors, and the most senior Black executives at Fortune 1000, Global 500 and equivalent companies. He leads the organization’s efforts to increase the number of global Black executives in C-Suites, on corporate boards, and in global enterprises.

An accomplished senior executive, leadership consultant, author and thought leader, Hyter is widely known for his success in developing enterprise leaders and their next generation successors. For more than 25 years, Hyter has served as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in a variety of industries. He brings a wealth of leadership experience to The ELC in the areas of CEO succession, chief executive and executive to leadership development, and strategic Diversity and Inclusion consulting.

Prior to leading The ELC, Hyter was Chief Diversity Officer of global organizational consulting firm Korn Ferry. He also led the firm’s Washington, DC office.

Hyter’s work is guided by the belief that one of the most effective ways to positively impact an organization’s bottom line is by growing and developing the talent within the organization.

His work with executives in Fortune 1000 companies has helped those organizations grow and enhance their businesses through innovative talent management strategies and programs.

A successful author, Hyter’s most recent publication is The Power of Choice: Embracing Efficacy to Drive Your Career (2020). He is also co-author of The Power of Inclusion: Unlock the Potential and Productivity of Your Workforce, published by Wiley in 2005.

Hyter serves on the board of directors of Dine Brands Global Inc. (NYSE:DIN), sitting on the Nominating and Governance Committee. He is a member of The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) and the Economic Club of Washington, DC. He was recognized by Savoy Magazine in 2018 as one of the most influential Blacks in Corporate America.

Trevear has more than 25 years of industry and consulting experience where he serves as an executive advisor to senior client executive teams and boards of directors for some of our largest accounts. He is currently the Deloitte US Strategic Growth Offerings (SGO) leader, where he works across businesses to enable the go-to-market, investment and integration of our SGO (AI, Sustainability, M&A, Finance Transformation) and Operate services. Moreover, he sits on the Deloitte US Management Committee that drives the US Firm’s key decisions.

Trevear is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), to which he brings his knowledge of and experience with the latest emerging governance issues and trends impacting M&A, financial performance, disrupting business models, and the changing competitive landscape. He has also shared his deep expertise and knowledge in various publications and speaking opportunities at industry conferences throughout his career.

Trevear previously served as a member of the Deloitte US Board of Directors where he provided oversight of the US Firm and sat on the Finance and Audit Committee. He also served as the Deloitte US National Managing Principal for Merger, Acquisition and Restructuring Services, where he set the firm’s view on the national strategy and execution for the business.

Trevear earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and holds a BS in computer science from Clark Atlanta University.

Mark Zandi is chief economist of Moody’s, where he directs economic research. Moody’s is a leading provider of economic research, data and analytical tools. Zandi was a co-founder of Economy.com, which Moody’s purchased in 2005. He is on the board of directors of MGIC, the nation’s largest private mortgage insurance company; is the lead director of Policy Map, a data visualization company; and is on the board of the Coleridge Institute, a non-profit that facilitates the use of data across federal, state and local governments. An influential source of economic analysis for businesses, journalists and the public, Zandi frequently testifies before Congress. He is the author of Paying the Price: Ending the Great Recession and Beginning a New American Century, which provides an assessment of the monetary and fiscal policy response to the Great Recession. His other book, Financial Shock: A 360º Look at the Subprime Mortgage Implosion, and How to Avoid the Next Financial Crisis, has been described by the New York Times as the “clearest guide” to the financial crisis. Zandi earned his BS from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, both in economics.

Julie Zuraw is the President & CEO of the Thirty Percent Coalition, a group of institutional investors, asset managers, and private equity firms representing over $8 trillion in AUM, who work to increase diversity on corporate boards. She is driving the organization’s growth across strategy, operations, regulatory and legislative activities, finance and programming.

Zuraw spent her early career in the world of NGOs, before moving into advertising, where she became Director of Strategy for the Publicis Brand Optimizations Systems Group, and built the $10B company’s brand education practice and oversaw global client operations. She subsequently consulted directly with business leaders on corporate brand strategy, performance improvement, and leadership challenges. Since then, she has been President and COO of two New York City-based real estate investment, development, and management companies, and out of these experiences, created the Lead Like a WomanTM program, which helps female executives navigate and advance in male-dominated industries.

Julie has been a faculty member in the Columbia University School of Architecture and at Barnard College, where she has worked with undergraduate and graduate students.

She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College.

Ozzie Gromada Meza currently serves as the President and CEO of the Latino Corporate
Directors Association (LCDA). In this capacity, he leads a distinguished membership
organization comprising accomplished executives at the pinnacle of corporate governance. His
mission is to propel diversity within the boardroom, with a firm commitment to amplifying the
presence of Hispanic/Latino individuals on corporate boards.
Prior to assuming his present role, he held the position of Vice President of Member and Talent
Services at LCDA. During this tenure, he collaborated closely with boards of directors, C-Suite
executives, search firms, and influential board advocates. His influence extended to shaping the
board talent pipeline for numerous prominent organizations.
As a talent intelligence expert, Ozzie led a diverse career spanning search firms, consulting, and
Fortune 1000 corporations. Preceding his tenure at LCDA, he served as a Talent Intelligence
Lead at JamesDruryPartners, a premier board advisory services firm. In the earlier stages of his
career, he played an instrumental role in establishing the executive recruiting function at Allstate
Insurance. Notably, he spearheaded the development of one of the first comprehensive
competitive intelligence divisions within talent acquisition.
Ozzie has garnered recognition as a trailblazer in the realms of ESG (Environmental, Social, and
Governance) by being honored as a recipient of the Modern Governance 100 Award by Diligent
and has received the Business & Finance Impact Award from the Special Libraries Association.
Additionally, he serves as a Board Member of Thirty Percent Coalition, as an Advisory Board
Member of the Association of LGBTQ+ Corporate Directors, and Council Member of NACD
Center for Inclusive Governance.
Ozzie Gromada Meza holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and a Master
of Science degree in Library and Information Science, both from the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign. He and his husband take pride in their roles as parents to twins and
consider Reno, Nevada, home.

Anna is a broad-based senior partner who advises global leaders and companies on complex and strategic transformation, growth, risk management and governance efforts. Currently, Anna serves as both the Private Equity Leader and the Global Office Asia Pacific Leader for the Advisory practice, is a Global Lead Client Service Partner and leads the US Chinese Services Group (CSG). Anna was also the first female of Chinese American descent to be admitted to the Deloitte & Touche LLP partnership.

During her 25+ year career at Deloitte, she has held various leadership roles and served some of the largest clients in various industries including payments, technology, financial services, and healthcare, and life sciences. Her global business experiences include business strategy and transformations, corporate governance, finance and accounting, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and market expansion services.

Known as a community builder and connector, she has a passion for cultivating economic and educational opportunities. She is the co-founder and current President and Executive Board Chairperson of Ascend & Ascend Foundation, a network of Pan-Asian professionals and created Ascend’s corporate directors and executive networks. She also serves on boards of The Conference Board, Commonwealth Club of California, United Way Bay Area, and The Thirty Percent Coalition and on the advisory councils of numerous corporate and community-based organizations.

A certified public accountant in the United States, Anna works with the AICPA and other business organizations on their strategic priorities and has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, Bloomberg, and other leading media outlets.

Denise Russell Fleming serves as chief information officer and executive vice president of technology and global services. Fleming is responsible for leading all aspects of BD’s IT systems and processes, cybersecurity, the enterprise program management office and global shared service centers. She is also a member of the BD Executive Leadership Team.

Fleming joined BD from Boeing, where she was the vice president of IT and CIO of Boeing Defense, Space & Security, responsible for driving innovative digital solutions, cybersecurity compliance and managing the value delivery of IT systems for 30,000 Boeing associates. Prior to Boeing, Fleming held several positions at Sprint before joining BAE Systems, Inc. as VP, Business Technology & Application Solutions. She has more than 25 years of experience in IT, business transformation and technology solutions.

Fleming earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia; a Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business; and received an Advanced General Manager’s Program certificate from Insead Business School in France.

Fleming was elected to the board of directors of Parker Hannifin, a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies, in October 2023. She is a co-founder and board member of TechPACT, a non-profit focused on increasing diversity in STEM. She is also a member of the Executive Leadership Council where she serves on the IT Advisory Committee. As an executive member of the IT Senior Management Forum, she mentors high potential talent selected for development programs offered by the organization. Fleming received the Career Achievement Award at the 2022 Black Engineer of the Year Award Conference and was also recognized by Diversity Woman Magazine as one of the Elite 100 in the Class of 2022. She has been featured in various publications including Forbes and US Black Engineer & IT Magazine.

Tasha is a principal in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Government and Public Services practice and has nearly 20 years of professional services experience involving commercial and federal financial statement audits, fraud, dispute analysis and investigations, artificial intelligence, and advanced data analytics.

Tasha helps lead our AI and data analytics offering, where she provides innovative insight-driven solutions to her clients to assist with their financial management transformation. Most of Tasha’s time is spent providing strategic direction to C-suite executives and management across the federal community to help them solve their agencies’ most complex and unique data challenges. Tasha recently co-authored the Future of Open Data (Maximizing the Impact of the Open Government Data Act) paper and, previously, the Data Act 2022 paper, which provides a forward-thinking approach to achieve an insight-driven organization while understanding and navigating cultural and technology challenges.

Tasha has a passion for recruiting talent from untapped communities, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and for developing and advancing underrepresented minorities within Deloitte. She also has a passion for bridging the data analytics and digital divide in underrepresented communities, including nonprofit organizations that focus on equality and social justice. She recently assisted the Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth and led a data analytics pro bono project to help them promote equal opportunity across the country and provide a second chance for previously incarcerated youth through actionable insights.

Tasha serves as a STEM ambassador on behalf of Deloitte and the community. Across the Greater Washington community, Tasha focuses on developing rising STEM talent by serving as a professor of mathematics and statistics at Northern Virginia Community College. She also serves as a board member for the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and chairs the board for YMCA Youth and Family Services in Maryland.

Tasha has a BS and MS in mathematics from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC, and an MBA from Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Rhonda Mims earned an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina. Soon after graduating, she entered the corporate world and immediately made a name for herself. Rhonda quickly rose through the ranks at various corporations before becoming a C-suite executive. As a black female executive, she spent decades learning the ins and outs of corporate life in communications, marketing, and public affairs, developing a unique set of leadership skills and abilities. It’s this expertise that Rhonda now offers to clients through counseling, mentoring, and speaking services. As a specialist in corporate social responsibility, diversity and inclusion, Rhonda has become a highly sought-after voice on black leadership and allyship in the workplace.

Harold currently serves as an independent trustee on the board of trustees for the Fidelity Rutland Square Trust II at Fidelity Investments, and the Hershey Trust Company board of directors. He considers himself semi-retired after a 30+ year career in the investment management industry that included multiple executive roles. Prior to joining these boards, Harold was on the board of directors at WisdomTree Inc., where he was the chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee.

Before the aforementioned board service, he was most recently Vice President/Managing Director and Head of Manager Selection and Portfolio Construction at Lincoln Financial Group. Prior to Lincoln, Harold held global executive roles at PineBridge Investments, including leading all non-US asset management subsidiaries as PineBridge’s Head of Asset Management Companies, while he was simultaneously the Global Head of Retail and Intermediary Sales. He was also Chairman of the Boards of PineBridge Taiwan and PineBridge East Africa. Prior to assuming executive roles, Harold spent 17+ years as a successful equity portfolio manager and analyst. Harold received his MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, his B.S. in Chemical Engineering (Minor: Management) from the Illinois Institute of Technology and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He also has a Directorship Certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors (“NACD”) and the NACD CERT Certificate in Cyber Risk Oversight.
