In the spirit of advancing our mission of global significance, the ELC UK Black History Month Convening will serve as a beacon of inspiration and empowerment, championing Black excellence on both local and international fronts.

This year's UK Convening will include themes around the current geopolitical landscape and its implications on the UK and US, the similar challenges faced by UK and US-based corporate board directors, and the broad implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in corporate spaces. Members will also have exclusive networking opportunities with UK-based leaders.

• Wednesday, October 23rd : Join us for a Welcome Reception featuring a discussion on the financial implications of AI, led by industry experts. This session will explore its impact within the current global context.
• Thursday, October 24th: Participate in the Corporate Board Navigator Panel discussion. This year's panel will focus on topics such as:
• FCA diversity requirements for listed companies
• Guidance and outcome of the Parker review
• CSRD effect on Human Capital and how it differs from the US
• Upcoming regulatory requirements on Human Capital disclosure for European companies
• Friday, October 25th: To conclude the week, we invite you to a farewell Breakfast, where a notable UK economist will discuss the 2024 geopolitical landscape, addressing both risks and opportunities.
