Michael C. Hyter is President and CEO of The Executive Leadership Council (ELC), the preeminent membership organization for Black CEOs, board directors, and the most senior Black executives at Fortune 1000, Global 500 and equivalent companies. He leads the organization’s efforts to increase the number of global Black executives in C-Suites, on corporate boards, and in global enterprises.

An accomplished senior executive, leadership consultant, author and thought leader, Hyter is widely known for his success in developing enterprise leaders and their next generation successors. For more than 25 years, Hyter has served as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in a variety of industries. He brings a wealth of leadership experience to The ELC in the areas of CEO succession, chief executive and executive to leadership development, and strategic Diversity and Inclusion consulting.

Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford was sworn in as Nevada’s 34th attorney general in 2019 and is the first African American to take statewide constitutional office. Before his election, AG Ford served as the Majority Leader of the Nevada State Senate. He previously served as the Minority Leader, Assistant Majority Whip, chair of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources, vice chair of the Senate Committee on Education, and member of the Judiciary Committee. Before beginning his legal career, AG Ford served as a public school math teacher. He later attended law school and went on to clerk for the Honorable Denise Page Hood of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, as well as the Honorable Johnnie B. Rawlinson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He spent many years in private practice, including as a Partner at Snell & Wilmer LLP and later as Partner at Eglet Prince, both in Las Vegas. AG Ford earned his B.A. from Texas A&M University in Interdisciplinary Studies and then earned his M.A. in International Education from George Washington University. He also earned an M.A. in Educational Administration, as well as his law degree and Ph.D. in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University.

Javara Perrilliat is the President for the Southwest Area (Southern California and Arizona) for Republic Services - the second largest provider of services in the domestic non-hazardous solid waste industry, as measured by revenue as well as a Fortune 500 company, publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: RSG). In this role he has full P&L responsibility for ~$1.5B in gross revenue (over 3,000 employees) across all product and service offerings. Additionally, his functional responsibilities include sales, pricing, finance, operations, safety, human resources, and business development.
Prior to this role, Javara served as Senior Vice President, Operations Support. In this role, he ensured that field operations were equipped with the right processes, standards, tools and support to deliver flawless service to over 14 million customers across the country.
Prior to joining Republic Services, Javara Perrilliat served as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Supply Management and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Owens & Minor, a Fortune 500 international healthcare services company. Javara’s responsibilities included leading the supply chain, category management, global procurement, supplier diversity and private brands division (MediChoice and Medical Action).
Prior to Owens & Minor, Javara was a Principal and recognized operations leader with A. T. Kearney, a global consulting firm with the mission to help the world’s leading corporations gain and sustain competitive advantage, and achieve profound, tangible results. Javara has over nine years of experience in providing management consulting services across multiple industries.
Javara earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University (where he served as President of the National Society of Black Engineers) and his Master in Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Additionally, Javara is a member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC) and a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. He has previously served on the non-profit boards of both St. Mary’s Hospital and the HIDA Educational Foundation (HEF).
