In late July, Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford and a group of 20 other attorneys general sent a letter to CEOs of Fortune 100 companies assuring them that diversity and inclusion efforts are lawful and protected. The effort, led by AG Ford, was in response to a separate group of 13 attorneys general who attempted to intimidate CEOs by misrepresenting the effects of a recent SCOTUS decision that ended affirmative action in college admissions.
On Tuesday, September 19th at 5pm join us for a conversation with AG Ford and ELC CEO Michael C. Hyter with remarks by ELC Board Member and President of Republic Services, Javara Perrilliat. AG Ford will update us on the status of DEI following the SCOTUS ruling, including perceived and actual DEI challenges he has witnessed particularly in the corporate arena. AG Ford will also offer recommendations on how, as both individuals and as corporations, we can continue to champion DEI in the workplace and our communities.
This is the first installment in a new virtual ELC Speaker Series: The Black Experience – Where Do We Go From Here?
